We pulled into Sequoia National Park and were happy we had three nights in one place! The views were really jaw dropping and we had moved from desert to evergreen forests🌲. We set up camp in the Park at the Potwisha campground, nestled at a lower elevation with stunning mountain vistas. Unfortunately, some parts of the park were still closed from snow.

We broke out our replaced chairs, busted out the table (first time using it, yay!) and even set up a cozy lantern and speaker. And if that wasn't enough for us, we also fired up the grill and lit a campfire. After all the hustle and bustle, we finally had a chance to unwind and enjoy the tranquility of nature.
Is it just me, or does Steve's love for a campfire border on obsession? He claims he was just trying to build a nice fire, but he couldn't tear himself away from rearranging logs and fanning the flames all evening. Discussing the optimal log-stacking method became the main topic of the night. 🔥
The following day, we enjoyed a leisurely coffee outside before heading to see General Sherman and the impressive sequoia trees in the park. Did you know that General Sherman holds the title for being the world's largest living creature by volume and is estimated to be a whopping 2200 years old? It was Saturday so the roads were busy and winding but undeniably beautiful, our RV handled it like a champ. Next, we retreated to the Wuksachi lodge for a well-deserved and enjoyable dinner.

The following day, we ventured to Kings Canyon National Park to check out the impressive General Grant Sequoia Grove and discover the wonders of Kings Canyon. Just so you know, Kings Canyon is located to the north of Sequoia National Park. As expected, both parks were absolutely breathtaking and we had a blast driving around and going on some short hikes. Bright and early the next morning, we embarked on a little stroll from our campsite to catch a glimpse of the wildflowers blooming in the meadow and t did not disappoint. It was the perfect way to kick off our next adventure.
