We decided to wrap up our tour of the Sierra Nevada mountains by cruising down the eastside to Mammoth Lakes. Two ski towns in a row? Talk about living the dream! A bit of recon for future ski trips 🎿 We navigated more of those twisty, picturesque roads and we cruised by a stunning body of water known as Mono Lake. Fun fact: This funky lake has no drainage system and is actually a salty playground for all its inhabitants.

After arriving in Mammoth, we ended up snagging a cozy camp spot right in the heart of Mammoth. Perfect for a leisurely dinner stroll!


Easter Sunday brought a slow-leaking tire surprise 🛞! The freshly inflated tire was already starting to deflate. Just when we thought our trip might be side tracked, fate intervened. Luckily, the nearby Chevron was open and fixed our tire in a flash. Turns out it was simply a loose valve. Crisis narrowly avoided, phew!

Post-tire fix, we continued our explorations and made our way to Convict Lake for a quick hike and some more scenic views. Then it was back to cool nights before our impending blast of heat because…
