With a hint of sorrow, we bid adieu to Zion and set off for Bryce. No, we weren't begrudging Bryce its time in the spotlight, but let's be real - Zion had won our hearts. The convenience of the shuttle system made our stay a breeze. Our home base just outside Bryce was at the historic Ruby's, a mecca for all things Bryce-related. They've been in the game for over a century, so you know they've got accommodations and activities for days. Plus, the shuttle bus stops right there, making our park adventures a cinch.
After a breathtaking hike in Bryce and discovering the geological puzzle between Bryce, Zion, and the Grand Canyon, we were left in awe. Despite only having one day to explore, we soaked up every moment and found Bryce to be nothing short of stunning. Our time in Bryce was short but sweet, and we left with hearts full and cameras bursting with stunning photos.
I learned this factoid while at Bryce…..the bottom layer of rock at Bryce Canyon is the top layer at Zion, and the bottom layer at Zion is the top layer at the Grand Canyon. It’s geologically mind blowing 🤯. Here’s an attempt to depict it in pictures.
