Day 1 - Poplar Point Campground - Jordan Lake, NC

Our journey kicked off with a great start at Jordan Lake, just a stone's throw away from my long-time friend Katie's place. After a 4.5-hour trip, we landed at a charming lakeside campsite. Soon after getting settled, we hit it off with our new camp buddy, Gary and learned he was the "Emperor of the Jordan Lake Enthusiasts"😆. So far, so good with our adventure! 😊

Katie swooped in to scoop us up and whisk us away to Daniel's Restaurant in Apex, NC, an Italian spot that hit the spot. The food was top-notch, the desserts were to die for, and the ladies' room stole the show with its adorable pet pics 🐶🐈🦎. I spent ages oohing and aahing over them with Katie's daughter!

Post-dinner, Katie chauffeured us back to camp, where we stayed up 'til the wee hours cracking jokes and poking fun at Steve. What a way to kick off our trip!

Now, for anyone wondering about our rescue pup Barkley, we opted to leave him home this time around. Shayna is currently keeping him in Philly with her two roommates. Quin along with our friend Sophia and a few others are on standby to look after him, just in case.
